Plastic Sheet and Flocked Packaging FAQ

Answers to 10 questions about choosing sheet, flocked inserts and preparing samples. Wenzhou Tonghou Plastic Products Co., Ltd. · Updated 27 September 2026.

How should I compare plastic sheet suppliers?

Start with samples similar to your product and compare thickness, surface finish and forming results. Ask about material sourcing, batch records, inspection methods and consistency on repeat orders. Tonghou produces PET, PS, PP and flocked sheet in-house alongside thermoforming. Send a product photo or drawing so we can discuss the material and process.

Where should I start when a flocked insert sheds fibers?

Compare flat sheet and formed samples from the same batch to see whether shedding appears before or after forming. Check whether it is concentrated around deep cavities or corners where the sheet stretches. Review adhesive coverage, surface preparation, fibers, electrostatic conditions and curing records to narrow down the cause. Use the same rubbing method, cycle count and acceptable fiber-loss limit when comparing samples.

How do I choose sheet thickness and width?

For an initial enquiry, use 0.13–1.5mm for PET, PP and PVC, 0.25–3.5mm for PS, and 400–800mm width as reference ranges. Send the application, dimensions, colour and flock finish so we can confirm a suitable material and size combination. Final specifications are agreed through drawings and samples before ordering.

Which sample tooling should I use, and what should I send?

Plaster tooling can help check an early shape or fit. For surface finish and production planning, consider electroformed copper or aluminium tooling according to dimensions, quantity and tool life. Send photos or drawings with the material, critical dimensions and the question you want the sample to resolve. We can then confirm tooling and timing, followed by acceptance samples before production.

Where can I find the environmental project notice?

Our evidence page links to the April 2025 environmental impact information notice for the Wenzhou Tonghou Plastic Products Co., Ltd. project covering 300 tonnes of flocked roll material, 200 tonnes of thermoformed blister products and 100 tonnes of paper boxes annually. It describes the project and its planned scale. If your supplier review needs approval or completion-acceptance records, specify those documents in your request.

Does the company have a technology-based SME recognition record?

Yes. Wenzhou Tonghou Plastic Products Co., Ltd. was recognized as a Zhejiang provincial technology-based SME in 2022, entry 599 in the second Wenzhou batch. The notice is 温科管〔2022〕9号, dated 2 September 2022. The evidence page links to that year’s recognition document.

What records can I see for the premises and rooftop solar project?

The company confirms ownership of its premises at Room 301, Building 3, No. 1983-2033 Haigang Road, Longgang. Its 208kW rooftop distributed photovoltaic project was filed in November 2023 under project code 2311-330383-99-01-837826. You can view filing scans with personal contact details removed on our evidence page.

Can I request custom or small-batch production?

Send samples, drawings or photos with approximate dimensions, intended use and quantity. Include the space inside the outer box and any flock-finish requirements. We review the structure and samples first, then agree production terms. Minimum quantity depends on tooling, material and processing and is confirmed with your quotation.

How do I confirm order quantity and delivery timing?

Send the product structure, material, quantity and required delivery date. We use the current production schedule to confirm order acceptance and any split deliveries. The environmental notice lists planned annual quantities of 300 tonnes of flocked roll material, 200 tonnes of thermoformed blister products and 100 tonnes of paper boxes. Your order quantity and delivery timing are confirmed against the actual schedule.

What information is needed for food-packaging materials?

Tell us the food type, whether contact is direct, the temperature, contact duration and destination market. We then review the resin grade, additives and corresponding test documentation to confirm the material choice. Different PET or PP grades and use conditions need separate checks.
