01 / SHEET PRODUCTION

PET, PP and PS: match the sheet to the tray requirements

Tonghou produces PET, PP and PS sheet in-house. PP and PS share a sheet production line. Custom tray assessment starts with the application, contact conditions, appearance and geometry, then considers sheet and forming options. A material name does not replace finished-product validation.

Shared PP / PS sheet production line

This sheet line is used for both PP and PS. The material and sheet requirements for an order are confirmed during the product and forming-route assessment.

02 / PRESSURE / VACUUM FORMING

Pressure/vacuum forming: assess the geometry first

The current setup includes 3 integrated pressure/vacuum forming machines with in-line cutting and automatic stacking. Deep cavities, irregular profiles and retention features are reviewed together with sheet, heating, tooling and the forming route.

  • Deep cavities and draws: review the relationship between the opening, depth, sidewalls and corners.
  • Complex profiles and retention: confirm contact points, removal space and assembly method.
  • Wall distribution and corners: inspect the sidewalls, base and corner formation on samples.

The choice of pressure/vacuum forming depends on the material, thickness, draw geometry and sample review.

03 / HIGH-SPEED THERMOFORMING

High-speed thermoforming for approved tray structures

Five high-speed thermoforming machines complement the pressure/vacuum forming equipment. Once the material, structure and sample are approved, production planning considers cutting, stacking, inspection and packaging requirements.

  • Confirm the sample, drawing revision and material requirements.
  • Check cavities, cut edges, stacking and denesting.
  • Agree inspection, packing, identification and delivery arrangements for the order.

04 / FLOCKED PACKAGING

Flocked inserts: review support and presentation together

Tonghou produces flocked sheet and flocked packaging, including inserts for cosmetics, liquor and health-product presentation boxes. Custom assessment considers cavity support, surface feel, visible areas and box assembly together.

  • Set support and removal points around the bottle, accessories and box space.
  • Approve color, flock feel, surface contact and edges using physical samples.
  • Include abrasion, fiber shedding and odor requirements in the sample review and acceptance criteria.
